In the time of Koyaanisqatsi
In the Hopi lament for a world spinning out of balance,
We live in the tension between the two fundamental drivers of all life forms: Fear and opportunity. Retreat to the dark safety at the back of the cave, or venture into the light with all its promise and risk?
We own our choices to be the person we wish to be
For whatever time we have left
Will we cower in the psychopathic dungeon
Of fearful, self-loathing hatred,
Clinging to the cold steel bars of our mental prison
Raging, impotent and blind, before the uncaring whirlwind of change?
Or will we set sail on those powerful winds to new enlightenment?
Gracious self-reflection enables our journey, widens our horizons.
When traveling on uncharted seas or unexplored mountains
The wise seek the advice of the wisest, most experienced guides
And perhaps seek to become guides themselves
